Common questions

Which event should I enter?

Blitz (3 + 2) if you want a fast, fun Saturday. Rapid (15 + 5) for something in between. The Six Round Championship (60 + 30) is the serious classical event, played across six Mondays from 12 October to 23 November.

When does the Club Championship finish?

Round 6 is Monday 23 November 2026. There is no round on Monday 26 October — that week is a rest week.

How does online entry work?

Each event card has its own TryBooking page. Scan the QR code with your phone camera, or click the entry link — payment and confirmation are handled by TryBooking.

Do I have to be a CAQ member?

The flyers state that all participants are to be current CAQ members. If you're not yet a member, contact the club before entering.

Can I pay on the day?

Yes for the Club Championship, which offers $10 per round paid on the day. The other events are entered online through TryBooking.

Are there prizes for lower ratings groups?

Ratings prizes are offered depending on the number of players. Exact division depends on the final entry list.
